Ticket advice for TER Bourgogne-Franche-Comté
Author: rfdatalink

I'm hoping to take a day trip from Besancon-Mouillere to La Chaux-De-Fonds on Nov 26 of 2024 and unable to find a way to purchase tickets.
I've found timetable online from TER that appears to say that there should be a train leaving Bescancon at 9:39 and a return trip leaving La Chaux-De-Fonds at either 16:00 or 17:00.
I've tried several ticketing websites including SNCF but unable to find a way to get tickets.
Any advice about if this train really exists or how to get appropriate tickets would be appreciated.

Looked in my European Rail Timetable, Autumn 2024 but there's nothing about services in November, after the current substitute bus service finishes at the end of October.

As it's a TER service I suspect you simply buy a ticket on the day you travel.

Try the SBB website. I found this for your date:

I think Nick is right. I went to France in 2018 but due to impending and ongoing intermittent rail strikes did not attempt advance tickets on the TER. If you look at Trainline you cannot get tickets for your TER train but at least you can see that it should be operating. I used Trainline for all my other rail tickets on that trip to France, including a sleeper train and another one that went train Limoges to Uzel then Bus to Clermont and Bus to St Etienne.

I was able to buy my one TER ticket at the ticket window in Bordeux as I found the vending machines to be too confusing.
