European Railroad Discussion > That Swiss Heritage EMUDate: 09/23/24 13:43 That Swiss Heritage EMU Author: dwatry Following up on RNinRVR's post a few days ago about a Swiss Heritage EMU - when we were in Zürich in May this year I managed to catch what must be the same EMU at the platform in Zürich Hbf. It's a Class RAe 4/8, and was built in 1935, and is now in SBB's heritage fleet. They are also known as "Rote Pfiel", or "Red Arrow". It was set up for table-service dining and looked like it would be fun to ride. Unfortunately we had a full schedule already!

Marklin does, and its site offers good information on the unit's history. https://www.marklin.com/products/details/article/39260 Edited 2 time(s). Last edit at 09/24/24 12:47 by railsmith.
