Nice trams
Author: symph1

After my first trip to Bourg Ste. Maurice, I went to Nice, an incredibly beautiful city. These sleek trams match everything perfectly.

This tram line uses Overhead Catenary lines to charge the on board batteries in locations that do not have the views across the plazas.
This is how to design a tram system to evade at least some of the NIMBYs.

The other tram lines (2 & 3, which run to the airport and are part underground in the city centre) use catenary in the tunnels but charge the batteries when at street level using an energised power strip between the rails at stops, "alimentation par le sol" in French
