European Railroad Discussion > Whither the Royal Train's equipment?Date: 07/01/25 09:36 Whither the Royal Train's equipment? Author: jcaestecker Not wanting to hijack the previous thread, I'd like to ask those in the UK (and others who may be in the know) about what will happen to the equipment for the Royal Train. Surely there must be some heritage railways interested in acquiring it. Also, I could see it eventually being displayed at the museum in York. Anyone have the early scoop?

The royal train consists of nine carrages, with different locomotives hired to pull them.
My guess it ends up at the National Rail Museum in York. Date: 07/01/25 15:16 Re: Whither the Royal Train's equipment? Who wants to look at a Mk2 former brake first with a genny inside?
