On board ICE 94, Berlin to Hamburg, 21 July
Author: DocJohn

Down 29 minutes leaving Berlin for nonstop trip to Hamburg Hbf.   Have seats in a car that is 1/3 first and 2/3 second.  According to station announcements in Berlin, just about everything running late.  One common excuse was,"Had to add cars to the train."

Well, at least they add cars to the trains....Amtrak says too bad, the train is sold out.

I'm not sure they can add cars to an ICE unless it's a second set, they're fixed formation train sets.

By adding cars, believe that DB means adding a complete trainset to an existing trainset.  Except for travel on our last day in Germany (23 July, Hamburg-Cologne-Brussels) trains were full.
