A Metropolitan line S Stock train pulls into Baker Street Station, one of the original stations of the London Underground when it opened in 1863. The arched, brick-lined platforms here are part of the world’s first underground railway, linking Paddington to Farringdon. Baker Street remains one of the system’s busiest and most historic interchanges. These platforms today serve the Metropolitan, Circle, and Hammersmith & City Lines.
