DB threw a coming-out party Friday (10/17) for its new ICE-L trains, manufactured by Talgo.

Some highlights for the German-language challenged --

8700 HP for 406 tonnes, top speed 143 mph
17 cars, 562 seats, broken down to 85 in 1st class, 46 "family seating", rest are 2nd class + dining car
Three seats (apparently in each car) for wheelchair-bound passengers featuring adjustable height tables
