I know very little about UK passenger train services but after an hour of Googling, I determined this screen grab from Railcam UK's Crewe HC 5 live cam on October 18, 2025 at 11:56am is of an Arrriva Rail London class 378/2 Capitalstar EMU train set (dual mode AC catenary/DC 3rd rail) that operates on the London Overground concession. When I look at the London Overground system map, I don't see Crewe as a station - the closest station to Crewe is Watford Jct, about 160 miles from Crewe.

Why was this train at Crewe? Thanks!

At a guess en-route to Alstom's maintenance facility at Widnes

I found the working on Real Times Train web site. It's headcode was 5Q36, and was the 11:46 from Wembley Carriage Sidings to Widnes Transport Tech. As Nik mentioned, this will be to Alstom. chris uk.

Thanks for doing the digging to get this train ID information. Looks like the Alstom-bound 5Q36 move was running about 5 minutes late departing Crewe.

The Real Time Trains website is impressive in the amount of data it collects and collates in its database! It's too bad we don't have an equivalent train finding/identification facility in the US.
