The Office of Rail & Road has approved Virgin Train's application to access Temple Mills Depot in East London where Eurostar trains are serviced. Sounds arcane but this is a major step forward in introducing competition through the Channel Tunnel. Unsurprisingly Eurostar has maintained that they couldn't possibly accommodate any extra trains at Temple Mills, after an investigation the ORR has begged to differ.
