A few minor possible corrections: - I think the emu's in your first series of shots were actually heavily rebuilt from the three car 'interurban'-- or Regional as it is termed now -- sets built in the '70's and which had a vertical rather than sloped, front. I thought then they were good looking; now..... - Unless the branch to Coimbra has closed, that is actually Coimbra B. [ = Coimbra Junction ] station where you took the photos. Things have certainly changed since my there visit of over fifty years ago -- and, for the rail traveller, better. Best regards, SZ Date: 11/13/25 21:57 Re: Fall Euro Trip Part 3 - Porto Region in Portugal Author: dwatry Steinzeit2 - Yes, the branch to the main Coimbra station has closed, the tracks lifted and they are converting the trackway to a busway for a BRT line. And you are correct - technically that is Coimbra-B station. And upon further digging - looks like the Class 2240 EMUs are rebuilt from 70's era EMUs, not 1959. Thanks for the corrections.
