European Railroad Discussion > A Foreign Freight Car FridayDate: 12/19/25 09:44 A Foreign Freight Car Friday Author: NMlurker From Rugby, UK. I think this container train came through slowly so I captured three types of container flats.
1. This AAE AG flat is part of a two-unit drawbar-coupled car. AAE is a Swiss leasing company of rail cars throughout Europe that was affiliated with and absorbing VTG, hence the little VTG logo to the left of "AAE." 2. This 60-foot GBRf flat can hold one 40' and one 20' container and appears to also be a two-unit drawbar-coupled car. 3. Another style of GBRf 60-foot flat that again appears to be half of a two-unit drawbar-coupled car. |
