On Italo 9981 heading for ROME

About 40 minutes south of Milan, and ride has become very fast and too rough for comfort.  First class seatinig appears to have more room than on train from Paris to Milan.

Train made 350 miles in a little over 3 hours,  Much of the line is underground.  Air temperature over 35 celsius, but no apparent speed restrictions.  Base and web of rails painted white. Italian train "italo" appeared to b e better thsan corresponding French train.  There was even one on-board staff whose uniform said "train cleaner."
