In the early 1950s there was a locally produced children’s TV show in Philadelphia featuring a puppet named Willie the Worm, and that’s the first thing I thought of when I first saw this EMU. 17. This is a Class SL 95 Tram #145 18. During the summer, tram #70 together with trailer #647 operates scheduled trips on Sundays. It was built by Flakenried in Hamburg, Germany, in 1913. It remained in regular passenger service until 1968 and continued to serve as a maintenance vehicle. Tram #70 was restored in 1994.
