Two summer only holiday trains which connect Warsaw and Budapest with Rijeka (Croatia) and Koper (Slovenia). I shot both the Rijeka bound train yesterday morning, including the motive power change at the Slovenia/Croatia border and the returning train from Koper yesterday evening.

Sadly no dining car, definitely a case of byo.

Rijeka / Fiume was an important port and naval base for the Austro Hungarian empire.


The Night Expresses to Vienna and Budapest were high priority trains.

This train only started running last summer, I'm guessing the first through train to both Vienna and Budapest for many years
