After three weeks in Wales we moved on to England and Scotland.
On 7/31/26 I headed out on a day trip from the Birmingham Airport station, first to Birmingham New Street and Gloucester, then to Wolverhampton.

4. The train from Birmingham New Street was heading to Cardiff, however I rode only as far as Gloucester. 
5. At Gloucester, while waiting on the platform for my train back, the train before mine (see picture) was cancelled on the spot. The passengers disembarked, and the train left; my train then arrived a few minutes late.
Once back at Birmingham New Street, I rode up to Wolverhampton.  The intent was to ride the tram back to Birmingham; the tram follows a route somewhat parallel to the rail line.
6. The Wolverhampton tram stop is just outside the train station; however, no passengers were waiting there.  It turns out there was a stalled tram mid-way along the route, and the next tram was still over 30 minutes away.  It sounded like they might have been doing a bustitution/bus bridge around the stalled tram, but I did not want to deal with that. I went back in the Wolverhampton station and bought a ticket back to the Birmingham Airport Station. The tram journey will have to a wait for another date/time, if I make it back there.
