It may have been test shipments. Probably going to the same place the Mojave cement was going (Newark?). His date was in the 70s. He fired for me a number of times.

I spent alot of time around around tracks the first several weeks of that January. Work was slow and I was waiting for classes to start back up at Cuesta College. Then the 5PM Lompoc hauler would take the loads to the plant and spot. We would spot the loads, pull the MT's and go on to Surf and Lompoc, then back to GSLP. They only had to extend it 3000 feet for the shuttle. |
