New Nember...Looking For Info on Harry A. Ahlborn
Hi! My grandfather Harry August Ahlborn was an engineer for Southern Pacific for years. He was born and raised in San Francisco and my dad Richard Ahlborn would tell me how his father, who was an engineer on 2467, would travel up and down this state switching rails at a place called Roseville California. Funny that I should move there in the mid-1980s without realizing the connection! Anyway if anybody could find some information on my grandfather or any old photographs of him I would certainly appreciate it. I remember seeing the engine in a park in Oakland or Alameda and climbing on it as children.

Since you mentioned the locomotive you once climbed on, SP 2467 is now on display at California State Railroad Museum in Sacramento, CA.
