RIP Tony Domingos SLO
Author: spnudge

Tony Domingos passed away at 97 years old. He hired out in 41, spent 2 yrs in the Army and back to the SP. He was the Chief Crew Dispatcher in SLO for the Trainmen and then for engine service when we moved from the Round House up to the depot.

As the Local Chairman for the Engineers I had to work very closely with him. Back then the unions ran the boards because there was no guarantee from the carrier. He taught me a lot and was a pleasure to work with. He was very fair having to balance his duty for the SP and unions dealing with crews, etc. He also found time to support local sports and organizations when not on the job.

I'm sure a lot of people knew who he was, working in and out of SLO.

RIP Tony,

Nudge
