Well, sort of....

Hired out May 13, 1960 brakeman for SP at Phoenix.. Two months later, fired for lying about my age ( I wasn't 18 yet )

Hired out to Magma Arizona Railroad as vacation relief brakeman August 1, 1960 worked two months, returned to college

Hired out June 30, 1961 as brakeman on SP at Bakersfield. worked there til' Aug. 1968

Hired as first outside hire management trainee with Santa Fe at Chicago August 1, 1968
