Alco Diesel Hydraulic Locomotives

Any information on ALCO C643DH hydraulics in the 1960's that made experimental runs over the D&H? Did they operate over any other railroads? How long did they last and what was their downfall? Apparently they were ALCO's response to Krauss-Maffei's hydraulics that experimented on the Rio Grande and SP.
Thanks
Andy

Searched the TO Static Photography database with 'C643DH', found a photo and some stories:

They also tested on NYC's West Shore. They spent at least one day tied up at the Weehawken engine terminal in NJ.
