John Rebensdorf UPRR
Author: Corpach

Having had another browse through Vol 3 of Klein's epic tome on the UP I always wondered if John Rebensdorf has any plans to write a book on his contribution to the UPRR. That would certainly be an enlightening read.

I would cheerfully buy an early copy, especially if it were a first edition.

Suggest you 'buy' it instead when you go 'by' the store and then tell them 'bye'.

They're going to buy their books there?

I attended Mr. Rebensdorf's presentation in Ogden at this year's joint SPH&TS/UPHS convention, and had the same thought.  IIRC, he mentioned that he nearly hired on with SP at one point before ultimately joining UP.

Fred Frailey had an excellent story about a UP exec. who had just retired, which ran
I believe in the October 2012 Trains mag.  Can't find my copy but the name seems
familiar.  It arrived in my mail the day I pulled the pin on the my railroad career.
If I have the name correct, Mr. Frailey's column about him suggests an exceptionally
interesting book about the UP is waiting to be written.
