I haven’t talked with Greg in a while, but he’s still alive and kickin’. Still active with rail preservation and Passenger Rail groups.

Thanks, I used to fire for Greg (gloom and doom) on the commutes.

I spoke with Greg - a.k.a. Willie, Dr. Doom, Doomster, Doomus Erectus - on the phone about ten days ago.He is still his same old hilarious self and continues to fight the medical issues that forced his retirement.

John and Mike, I'm gratified to see that you two boys are still alive and kicking as well, given that I've been "away" from TrainOrders for more than five years.

 

This is a real long shot...  I went to UC Davis in the late '60s with a guy named Ron Welker, whose dad was an engineer.  Any chance a relative?
