Railroaders' Nostalgia > More authentic railroader graffitiDate: 03/28/25 22:16 More authentic railroader graffiti Author: roustabout This spans a few years, going back to about 2000. P&W was still operating out of the old SP depot in Albany, at least for the first photo. The crew had a tiny locker room, if you could call it that. My locker is the one with the Autumn Creek ad on the from and I bet a few of you will recognize the photo above it. O Winston Link lives!
With the second image, Portland & Western had vacated the trackside SP depot (darn it!) and moved into temporary quarters on the east side of the yard, a pair of double wides. I'm not sure what spurred the drawing but it could have been the 'was running when parked' quality rigs we got to drive around in. Last was a little drawing someone else did of one of our ground-pounders. I worked with him a lot and we were a real Mutt and Jeff couple - I'm 6'5" and he was 5' 6" and he was a darn good car handler, with a propencity for being very verbal while switching the yard - as in, yelling at cars, switches, people at the Queen Avenue crossing that we switched across all night and day. Good times - he promoted to the right seat then quit to go into law enforcement. Good memories! ![]() ![]() ![]() Date: 03/29/25 10:09 Re: More authentic railroader graffiti Author: wp1801 Great.Lou.
