Eastern Railroad Discussion > NRHS convention ?'s in OhioDate: 06/15/06 03:19 NRHS convention ?'s in Ohio Author: bill_whh Going to go up to follow the steamers for the NRHS convention and
wanted to follow the day it ran to Newark and back throught Coshocton. What i would like to ask is, What would be a Good GUESSTIMATE as to when it will roll south throuhght Coshocton? ETA on Newark? Dep from Newark? I would like to find a spot between Coshocton and Newark for the Southbound. Take my 2 boys to see it in Newark and setup for a shot Northbound between Newark and Coshocton. Is this the "Panhandle"? What would be the AAR frequency to listen too? Thank you in Advance Bill Date: 06/15/06 06:03 Re: NRHS convention ?'s in Ohio Author: SI-Tower This is what I found:

Also an overpass at Dresden where you can get a nice pic in foliage. On the east side of Cochoctan there is a nice elevator that makes a good prop, as well as the depot. There are locations east including Newcomerstown and a nice bridge at Tyndall for westbounds in the afternoon light.
This gleaned frm the memory banks from the 2004 Dennison RR days.. Date: 06/15/06 10:02 Re: NRHS convention ?'s in Ohio Author: johnacraft bill_whh Wrote:

The Highway 83 overpass on the south side of Coshocton is OK: http://www.ocsteam.com/2003fallphoto/oc10190312.jpg > Is this the "Panhandle"? Yes, Dennison to Newark is part of PRR's former Pittsburgh-to-St. Louis line across the "panhandle" of W. Va. |
