Chasing CSX #5253 across the Old Fort Loops
Author: bnsf

Usually I wouldn't have paid any major attention to CSX #5253 going through Marion, NC. However seeing it leading on the NS and not the Clinchfield made this worth a chase. Some shots below with train #135 lead by not one, but 2 CSX units.

Shot #1 CSX #5253 leads NS Train #135 just west of Old Fort, NC

Shot #2 #135 powering up after breifly stoping at Dendron

Shot #3 #135 emerges from Jarrat's Tunnel near Coleman

Thanks for Looking

Grady, I really like that 1st shot w/the Southern whistle post! That NS SD60 was really putting out some smoke! Thanks for the photos tonight.

Nice shots Grady. It's getting nicer now that the leaves are coming out green. When I was last there a couple of months ago there were not any leaves yet. Can't wait till I get back there soon.

Mike stuck in Florida (not for long though)
