Eastern Railroad Discussion > The Livonia Avon & Lakeville Railway: ALCOs to RochesteDate: 02/03/10 17:29 The Livonia Avon & Lakeville Railway: ALCOs to Rocheste Author: PennRailVideos On a very cold and snowy day in New York, Penn Rail Videos continues our hunt for ALCO diesel locomotives. The LA&L was on our to-do list, and we did find ourselves in hot pursuit. We'll first meet the train in Avon, about 10 miles north of Lakeville. We'll then follow the train north towards Rochester. Finally, the train will pass by Industry, NY, the home of the Rochester & Genesee Valley Railroad Museum (http://rgvrrm.org/). If you like ALCOs in the snow, then you'll love this video.
Also a pair of photos from the trip. 1. Switching in Avon. 2. Passing the depot in Avon. Enjoy! - Adam C. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 02/03/10 20:00 by PennRailVideos.
