PRR E8s in Coatesville, PA
Author: PennRailVideos

The best I could do in catching Bennett's E8s in Coatesville crossing the impressive stone arch bridge. It's much more over grown since I was last in Coatesville, so I had to make due with what was available. At least I got a shot... my buddy who was with me only got so much as to see them whoosh over the bridge!

Sunday, June 26th, on their westbound trip to Pittsburgh. I believe 8:42AM was the time the train passed over the bridge.

The whole east coast is a jungle in the summertime anymore compared to years ago when such photo locations were wide open.

It's overgrown because all the industry that kept the growth out is long gone. Just like Lukens right there.

Part of the reason there's so much vegetation is that the smoke & cinders from steam engines did a pretty good job of killing off the vegetation near the tracks (this is not a swipe at environmentalists).
