Eastern Railroad Discussion > Proctor Hill, in Minn. on the DM&IRDate: 08/16/11 10:31 Proctor Hill, in Minn. on the DM&IR Author: Keystone1 Does anyone know the average weekday volume of trains up (or down), the famous steam watching location of Proctor Hill on the old DM&IR??? I am going our there in two weeks, and would like to see some or trains. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If you're looking for a reasonable place to stay, the Carlson Country Inn and Suites at the Boundary Ave exit off I-35 is right next to the line, and some upper floor rooms facing the south have a decent view of it. This photo was taken in back of the inn, off the oft-used Boundary Ave overpass. The gray building at the far left houses the swimming pool for the motel.
