I recieved word today that there is a cut of mty grain hoppers in North Judson, IN, waiting to be picked up by JKL. They were brought in by CSX on Wednesday or Thursday and are still there as of now. The Cargill elevator in Monterrey, IN, runs a portion of the Erie mainline from Monterrey to N.Judson using ex-Chessie System SD18 no.7311. This unit is still in full Chessie paint with C&O sublettering. It has been kept inside a building when not used, so the paint is still in excellent condition. Word is now that the TP&W crew won't get there till Wednesday, probably in the afternoon. A side note--7311's sister, the 7302 in Winamac, might have a run Feb.1. It seems an mty train is ordered for Winamac that day. AJB
