For those questioning what I was talking about the other day in regards to rumors of their release, here is an article published by TRAINS Magazine on Thursday. The engines were not released as stated in the article.

I hate to say it but EMD is cutting this one awfully close to the wire. 6 more units need to be done in less than 2 weeks to make the Family Portrain on the 4th.

It'll be interesting how they will route the units south. Perhaps they will go to Fort Wayne first anyway? I think they could all be painted by then but they probably won't be operational units until after the July 4th weekend.

That Wabash paint scheme must be giving them fits! <G>

One might imagine the pressure at Muncie with the facility perhaps still on a learning curve and having to get these units out for NS.

Maybe they are all going at once, ever think of that?

That is what we have been told according to Chris Toth.

I would place bets that they are all going at once and a couple of the last 5 are already done.
