Today the Union Railroad hosted a very rare open house for employees and their families at the Hall locomotive shop in Monroeville PA. Here are a few shots from the event.

Children of employees had the chance to put their hand prints onto the side of 12 then it will be back in service with the hand prints. My son and daughter showing theirs off

posing with my kids on MP15 29

URR MP15 13 torn down in the roundhouse. This engine has been like this since at least 2009

MOW was well represented showing off some new trucks and tools.

International rotater dump truck
US Steel SW1500 ET-1 at the shops for some work.

Fantastic day out with you and your family. I really like engine #12 with the hand prints. Nice touch for the RR to do that. Thanks for posting these of a railroad that is very reclusive when it comes to rail fans.
