Update on NS 5500 series?

In the post before this one CRSmurf said that 5509 had been released. Can someone give a full update on these units, like there former numbers, and where they are at. Thanks for any help.

5506 was the last of 6 units on B36 southbound on the Marion (IN) Branch last Thursday. Didn't know anyone was still interested.
