Eastern Railroad Discussion > Where is NS #218

For much of the last several months. NS train #218 was a reliable train that traversed the Peavine line (Cincinnati-Portsmouth) at the same time every day. I have caught it many times at South Milford between 2:30 & 3:00pm. Well, 3 times this week, I went searching for it at about these times & there has been no sign of it. The blocks are clear in both directions, but no sign of the train.

Has this train's schedule changed? Has it been removed from this line? What gives?

I heard him coming down the New Castle Dist. around 7-Mile about 1:30pm.

I handled 218 east of Portsmouth on my shift (3P-11P) last week. Didn't notice anything unusual.
