Eastern Railroad Discussion > New KCS PowerDate: 11/17/12 17:03 New KCS Power Author: Oakway Maybe I missed the news item, but apparently KCS is currently receiving 30 new GE ES44ACs.
KCS 4804 was the last unit on Q377 this afternoon at Crestline, OH. 4 others were also spotted being delivered this week on the same train through Ohio. They should fill the 4790-4819 block. Good to see more Belles in the mix! Date: 11/17/12 17:35 Re: New KCS Power Author: Forever-Railfan-45 The money to purchase these units was in the form of a $52 million dollar grant given to KCS by the good ole USA government; they were supposed to be delivered sometime in late October. Better late than never.
