Trackside very early… one warm late June morning at Lilly PA, waiting and hoping for the morning EB coal train …and it showed ….as I shoot it…the flash unintentionally went off….illuminating part of the locomotive….It actually had a neat effect. Two now historical helper SD40’s in front of an NS/UP/UP lashup.

Very nice picture! It evens looks really like Conrail, but I know its NS.. The 3336 is an NS SD40-2 but go back to the Conrail heydays.. it makes you think, and looked like a real Conrail GP40-2 3336 leading an coal train.. Interesting theory!

Mistake/blemish or not, you captured a Conrail engine in blue. And it turned out decent.
