VLI export locos depart Enola on 11R this morning.....
Author: dwi189

A few of us chased an 11R from Enola to Lemoyne this morning.....The 11R had the VLI Brazillian export GE'S in consist.....The 11R was delayed on the Reading Bridge due to a emergency brake application so that is as far as I chased it.....

Pics....The 11R is seen stopped on the former Reading Bridge late this morning....as an NS 203 with SD70 standard cab 2513 passes on an adjacent track....Dave Williams

Nice shots, thanks for posting. It'd be interesting to see those 8-axle GE's on their home turf once they get there. Having the extra wheels under there just looks odd...

If I'm not mistaken, these particular units came in from the West off the Pittsburgh Line and were reclassified onto the 11R at Enola Yard before continuing East and then onto the Lurgan....Dave W.

The fuel tanks are smaller too to accomodate the larger trucks.....It appears that the units are built to Dash-9W specs otherwise...as opposed to the GEVO platform......Dave W.
