A Reading What If

Yesterday I caught the DL 2403 (former Adirondak) at Scranton. I also photographed the Reading FP7's at Steamtown. Looking at the color schemes is the 2403 a modern version of the Reading's cab unit scheme - the colors match up well.

Agreed. That could have been a true-to-the-Reading fantasy scheme.

Just curious....are the steam generators intact and/or functional in those Reading FP7's?

The steam generators are no longer there, just the roof details.

Great point! I knew I liked that Adirondack unit but I couldn't put my finger on just why.... It 's neo-Reading!

I like the green & black,it would've been nice to see if the "Reading" was still around,to see if that paint scheme would've evolved into "The Reading Lines".
