DME on NS Harrisburg Line Today
Author: RDG630

Good timing enabled me to catch CP/D&H train 158 this morning passing the former Reading Company Royersford, Pa station. DME 6088 leads the eastbound train headed to Philadelphia. Heard Harrisburg Line dispatcher talking to the train passing CP Dunkle just west of Reading, Pa so I headed out to Royersford - a 30 minute trip - and got to the station less than two minutes before the train. Sometimes you win.

Indeed, it has to be a first. Very good fortune to catch this.

That unit has been on the D&H trains alot lately. I have seen it quite a few times since September (and never when i can get a pic of it). Any idea why it might be in what seams to be captive service? Horsepower hours perhaps?

The D&H and the DM&E are both subsidiaries of CP.

Indeed, nice catch and location. Former QNSL SD40 #205, upgraded to SD40-3 standards.
