Watco buys the Annie
Author: DoctorThunder

Have heard nothing official but others are reporting that the Ann Arbor has agreed to an offer from Watco to purchase the line.

If true, really not much change, the real Ann Arbor went to Wisconsin and has been dead for years.

Anyone else heard anything?

Watco really isnt a terrible company, they pay pretty competitive for a shortline operator. I was so unfortunate to have worked for one of their crappier operations. I was at the Pennsylvania Southwestern RR steel mill railroad in Midland, PA. I started working there in 2008 and soon after it shut down for a year and half, not watco's fault, just a dying industry i guess
