Point of Rocks - Feb 12.

1. An eastbound coal train takes the Old Main at Point of Rocks, MD.
2. CSX 8554 shoves on the rear of a coal train headed up the Old Main as 555 with the westbound Rock-Runner waits for the signal at Point of Rocks, MD.

4. CSX 5376 leads a westbound ballast train at Point of Rocks, MD

These are absolutely excellent well composed photographs. I like the Point of Rocks wide angle shots showing nothing but train. My favorite is the one you took at Harpers Ferry. It really turned out great. Excellent lighting conditions and composition. Share more as you please.

That is a beautiful Depot. Too bad it isn't used as a passenger terminal. During my last days at Eastern Airlines, when I worked in the pilot's "strike" headquarters in Reston, Va, I would drive my small motorhome(a Toyota Dolphin) up to the "area" where the Brunswick commuters were let off the train and walk down to the depot. It relieved a lot of tension, was quite beautiful and the entire area is very interesting when the commuter trains start arriving. Also, it was a nice place to eat dinner. Brunswick, on the other hand, was pretty depressing.

The depot almost wasn't saved. Be glad that it still exists.
