RU CT: Brooklyn to Youngstown - 04/02/13
RED CONSIST: 59 Cars = 4 Stocks, 34 Coaches, 2 COFC, 19 Flats. (Total 252 axles less power)

REMINDER: RBBB Rail Transportation Routings (RTR’s) and Times are made in advance and Subject to Change (STC) without notice as the host railroad(s) require. ROUTINGS AND TIMES ARE UNPREDICTABLE, a lot can change during departure, although the CT’s are to run ahead of schedule if the host RR’s can accommodate. Crew Changes, Service Stops and Consist Rearrangement can occur anywhere or anytime along the route at the discretion of the operating/transportation officials.

“The Network” has decided to retire “The Traveling Archives Data Base for 2013” in hopes that it will encourage and bring other CT followers to post their information, findings and Photos in relation to unloading/loadout, animal parades and tie-down locations for the CT’s this coming year. “The Network” will try to provide (as previous posts) the “Network’s Projected Routing” (NPR) when and as data is received.

Brooklyn, NY, 02 April 2013.
From our “LI Network Source” as of this Post Time:
Upon completion of loadout at Hunters Point Station (with selected site for ramp loading, [wash tracks vicinity]) the LIRR will move that part of the consist (19 Flats, 2 COFC and the 4 Stocks) to Harold Tower for handoff to AMTK. AMTK will move that part of the consist to Lane (Interlocking) via NY Penn Station.
The Coaches will be moved by NS from Croxton Yard Facility to the Oak Island Facility, time to be determined by operating officials in preparation for assembly of consist.
The consist will be assembled by NS for movement from Lane and progress westward on the usual NS route via Lane, NJ, Allentown, PA, Harrisburg, PA, Pittsburgh, PA, Youngstown, OH, with arrival scheduled for Wednesday (04/03/13), NS Haselton Yard Facility.
Once again, a good opportunity for Photos and Videos on this interesting move in the NY Metro Area.

Sighting on HU stated as of half an hour ago the train was loading in Jersey City.

How long does the train take to load?

Thanks!

The train isn't even in Jersey City, so take the "sighting" with a grain of salt.

Absolutely! That's why I check in here to validate that site's info.

The fine print notes do say loading in the area of Oak Island and Croxton even though the location is Jersey City.

HU.com has it as 047. Do not know if that is right.

Just heard a dispatcher (Amtrak?) say something about circus train using #2 to Lane. This was at about 1:20pm.

Lots of static on scanner......sounded like circus extra just got permission to go into Lane (Newark) on track 3.

Cross Post from CTYG Member:
"Sounds like they pulled East of LANE in Newark towards ELMORA in Elizabeth on
the Amtrak NEC and shoved the train back into what was once Waverly Yard. The
Amtrak engines are returning light to Sunnyside Yard in Queens. The train has NS
power now."

They actually have it as O47, which is inaccurate (and yes, there's a difference in NS symbology between 047 and O47).

047 should be correct, that's what the circus trains often are on NS.
