Eastern Railroad Discussion > Northern MIchigan

I was in Northern MI over the holiday weekend and I heard a train horn near the Cherry Capital Airport in Traverse City MI. I thought the lines up there were abandoned a long time ago. Could someone please tell me who was running on the lines and if they have a website.

Jeff, the Tuscola & Saginaw Bay runs up to Petoskey about 45 minutes north of Travers City. In TC there is a dinner train operation Grand Travers Dinner Train. They use 2 FP-7 X-Milw the cars are X-SP talgo's. They have an eastbound lunch train and a southbound dinner train. They have a few customers in the TC area. They also have a web site but can't remember the adress search on excite to find it. If I find it I'll post it here.

If it was running on the weekend, chances are it was the dinner train or an excursion special. The TSBY normally runs only on weekdays.
