New movies on website
Author: oaksmodelrr

Five new movies have been added to the Amtrak, SEPTA, Conrail and Other movie archives at http://www.trainweb.org/oaksmodelrr.

First, to celebrate its first anniversary, the Trolley Stop Restaurant in Mount Airy (Philadelphia Inquirer article http://inq.philly.com/content/inquirer/2001/10/05/magazine/SKY05.htm) chartered a SEPTA PCC for runs between Germantown Depot and the Chestnut Hill loop. One of the interesting parts of the clip is just after it runs north under the old PRR Whitemarsh Branch near the Mermaid Lane Loop, the pole comes off the wire, and the whole network of caternary dances like a spider web.

From October 4, 2001, a couple of clips. One is of the Fast Mail with two AEM-7's on the headend. The other is of a SEPTA AEM-7 powered R7 Trenton Express making its stop at Croydon while a eastbound HHP=8 powered Clocker speeds by.

And from the mystery tape, a D&H train with NYS&W and PLM power through Bridgeport and an empty Conrail ore train heading back to Philadelphia. Both of these are from the early 90's.

BTW will be adding more of my personal stuff to ebay this week so if you are into HO, take a look http://cgi6.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewListedItems&userid=jnlcubed&include=0&since=-1&sort=2&rows=25.
