Date: 08/15/13 05:39 Re: Double Stacks Author: TrainCatcher Has the time that Q015 runs changed at all due to the new business? This train is normally through Garrett between 5 and 7pm lately - great for afternoon photos.
FDF Date: 08/15/13 06:08 Re: Double Stacks Author: MSchwiebert Means that the National Gateway work necessary to run domestic doublestacks between Chambersburg & North Baltimore is done.

Until this project was done, the line could only accommodate standard ocean/international containers, which are smaller. The clearance project now enables doublestacked domestic containers, as well as ocean high-cubes, on the route. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 08/15/13 06:48 by toledopatch. They did have to use certain tracks in some places east of Ohio. One fully loaded stack car of stacked 8'6 cons actually made it to Wilsmere, where it was set out or else it would have been 'fillet' in an unforgiving manner at Darby tunnel.
