I believe it terminates at Mechanicville NY. There's a new auto ramp and an interchange with PanAm Date: 09/15/13 07:28 Re: 31T question/Wabsh heritage Author: kmiske24 Unless it has recently changed, It gets interchanged to the CN (don't know where though) and has a final destination of Montreal, Quebec. Don't know if NS power stays on for the while trip though.

Must have been a great day in upstate NY for a chase Date: 09/16/13 03:00 Re: 31T question/Wabash heritage Author: CP4743 31T becomes 931 once on CP. It runs thru Binghamton, Oneonta, Schenectady, Saratoga and up to Montreal (CN). Has an NS crew to Saratoga and CP crew from Saratoga to Rouses Point. A very recent development is that the CN now takes it at Rouses Point and it goes up the CN line out of Rouses Point (the route of Amtrak's Adirondack). Until a few weeks ago it took the CP with a CP crew north out of Rouses Point.
The Wabash spent a good chunk of Sunday hidden in Mohawk Yard in Schenectady, at least the sunny chunk of the day. John |
