GREETINGS and good morning.
I understand that today's K041 has the NS 1030 on it today as part of the power set.
This was NS's " Birthday Unit " in Spencer, NC.
Does anyone know where this train is right now?

Ok, I give, what is the Birthday unit? A naked unit...LOL!

1030 is the NS locomotive in standard NS paint that was on display at the Heritage Festival at Spencer, NC, with its numberboards changed to 1982/2012, which has made it into a minor celebrity on the roster. Some confused people think this even causes it, too, to be a Heritage unit.

I would like get a shot of me with this unit for a profile pick.

If it is leading a BNSF warbonnet and another NS SD70ACe, it just passed Deshler at 4:45 PM.

I saw it from my street, could not get good visual on the numbers...
