The attached photo is a "normal" scan from a print to 800x600. The link, however, is to a scan of the negative. They will also no like the file sizes associated with any photos larger than 800x600. Pretty good quality. Date: 03/06/02 22:38 Camera shoppers... Author: plainsman It looks like digital camera quality may change big-time when the Foveon X3 chip hits the market. I'd hold off a while for this quantum leap to flow into the marketplace.

As far as waiting for quantum leaps go, if you want to wait for the technology to arrive before you start taking photos then wait. If you already have a ton of slides (and even negatives) or want to shoot now and not wait for a couple of years for a new product to drop to mass-market prices, then don't wait.
