As of 11:30am, the Red Unit Circus Train was said to STILL be in Raleigh; reason for departure delay unknown. Also, there was some excitement on the possible POWER for this move: field sightings are necessary to confirm if NS kept the CSX power switching the Red Unit this morning, or if they sent their own power for the run to Richmond. ROUTE: it's still "supposed" to be all-NS, via Durham, Greensboro (with a run-around there and crew-change), then north to Lynchburg (where they make another NS crewchange, then take the connecting line to former N&W's mainline), east to Burkeville (where yet another crew-change takes place), then northeast via Amelia into S. Richmond's storage areas.

EXPECTED ARRIVAL in Richmond, due to the late departure from Raleigh, might now be between midnight tonight and dawn-ish, Tues. morning.

Finally. "Whew!" That's good to hear. Perhaps they'll arrive in Richmond around midnight then, and not as late as previously thought (in the initial message, above).

Got a late start today.

Looks as it very well will be NS but power could be anything.
