The Best NS Train Symbols Site has been updated
Author: awillis50

My NS Train Symbols site has FINALLY been updated. This update is massive and includes every section of the site. If anyone happens to see a train that is not on the site please feel free to e-mail me and I will add it. I do need help with more locals so please feel free to e-mail more information to me.

The address is: http://www.angelfire.com/sc2/nstrains

This site is THE one and only spot for complete and updated train symbols.

Add to the Dearborn Division locals:

B42 - Toledo, OH to Woodville, OH turn
B1E - Monroe, MI to Toledo, OH turn
B1J - Monroe, MI industry

I assume you're not including switch and transfer jobs at major terminals, otherwise there's a whole slew of Toledo area stuff that's missing.

As for Division locals not listed on the site it is because no one has sent any information in for that particular area. I live in South Carolina and go to college in Alabama and that is why there are more locals stationed in the southeast compared to the rest of the NS system. Send in the symbol, origination of train and termination (or point where it turns) and I will gladly add it to the site, as I have done with the Dearborne Division locals.

Lake Division
L20 Bellevue, OH to Huron, OH turn
L21 Fremont, OH to Bellevue, OH turn
L26 Fremont, OH switcher
L71 Fostoria, OH to Green Springs, OH turn
L73 Fostoria, OH to Lima, OH turn
L75 East Wayne, IN to Leipsic, OH turn

Symbols I hear up on the Wabash, but not sure of their territories
L60 Milan, MI switcher?
L61 Montpelier, OH to Adrian, MI turn?

Pittsburgh Division
C37 Mansfield, OH to Bellevue, OH turn

A few more Harrisburg Division
H10 Gang Mills, NY to Binghamton, NY turn
H11 Gang Mills, NY to Mehoopany, PA local
There are several other jobs based at Gang Mills, and a return job from Mehoopany, but I don't know their symbols

Also, I caught an H44 last year on the Buffalo Line, whose limits included fly-ash pickup on the Watsontown Secondary to Strawberry Ridge, PA.

Re: L71

L71 may be listed as a Fostoria yard job, but I've seen it run out to Green Springs many a time. And I've seen L21 make only a Bellevue-Fremont run so often that I didn't even know Homestead was part of its official working limits.
So that raises the question, Should a listing like this indicate where a train's "official" limits are, or where it normally goes?

L71 does work east, but I don't know the official limits. I would say, report what MIGHT be seen, locals all work as needed pretty much everywhere.
