Looking for EL 747
Author: njmidland

After Erie Lackawanna long distance passenger service ended in 1970, there were 3 ex-Erie heavyweight diners left. 746 went to an off-rail museum in South Carolina, 741 went into wreck train service and is now being restored in Scranton. 747 was at the New Hope & Ivyland in the 1970's. It was then sold to a railroad construction firm in Ohio and shipped there by rail. Does anyone know what happened to it in Ohio? Is it still there today?
